Short Poems

The Discipline of Compression.
Welcome to our collection of Short Poems—the "Pansies" and "Figs" of the literary world. We believe that a poem doesn't need length to be profound; it needs a heartbeat.

Here, we celebrate the Micro-Poem: verses of 12 lines or fewer that capture a "life-throb" in a single breath. From the jagged "figs" of Edna St. Vincent Millay, the "Pansies" of D.H. Lawrence and a multitude of other masters of the art of poetic brevity.
